Wellness Week Next week is ECHS Wellness Week.  We mailed home flyers for the event and we are excited for the lunch activities that Leadership, Key Club, National Honor Society, BSU, HOPE, and GSA clubs have planned.  There will be daily drawings for a chance to win incentive bags for students who participate. as well as a Additionally, there will be a drawing at the end of the week for students who participated every day in the Wellness Week activities.  We are focusing on self-love and self-care and encourage all students to participate. 9th Grade Support We held our Virtual 9th Grade Parent  Support   Night last night.  Our message for all students and parents, is that there is still time to to improve grades in both high school and college courses.  This has been a challenging  year, but we are here to support all students.   If there are students who are struggling in the their college class and feel they are in danger of failing t...

 1 Year of Distance Learning Its hard to believe that one year ago on Friday, March 13 it was the last day we would have students here on campus.   That day we were passing out Academic Awards and enjoying frozen yogurt on campus.  I went back to last year's March 6th Blog entry and there are pictures from our lunchtime video game tournament, students working in small groups together during US History class, students hanging out together outside while we played music during lunch.  We were looking forward to things like the Lip Sync Battle, Karaoke, Paint Night, Talent Show, Senior Project Showcase, Prom, and so much more. Counselor Corner Solano College Reminders!    For Spring 2021, Solano College will no longer offer the COVID EW if you fail a class. T he last day to drop a full-term college course with a "W" is April 2, 2021. So if you are thinking of dropping a course for any reason, please email me or schedule a meeting or drop in during my drop-in hours on Wednesdays at 3pm/Fridays at 10am, 1pm, and 2pm. FSUSD Reopening Decision Thursday, February 11, 2021, the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District's Governing Board voted to return to in-person instruction once Solano County sustains five consecutive days in the Red Tier.   Based on the current trajectory of Solano County's COVID-19 data, it is anticipated that Solano County may sustain five days in the Red Tier by mid-March.  The return to in-person instruction will be a scaffolded, hybrid model.   The anticipated hybrid reopening date for Secondary Schools is April 12, 2021 (following Spring Break).  This is contingent upon the county's ability to sustain five consecutive days in the Red Tier and /or any other additional guidelines issued by the state.  Families will have the option to continue on Distance Learning for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year, if they do not choose to participate in the hybrid model of in-person learning.
