Women in Local Politics Many ECHS students attended the, Women in Local Politics presentation here on campus during 6th period Thursday.  Guest speakers included Suisun City Mayor, Lori Wilson; Council Member, Wanda Williams; Vallejo City Council Member, Rozzana Verder-Aliga; and Fairfield Vice-Mayor, Pam Bertani. Our students listened to the speakers share their backgrounds and experiences and our students were able to ask the panel questions.  Student of the Week The student of the week is 11th grader, Casey Davis. On Monday, March 11th, Casey was honored for winning the Solano County Poetry Out Loud competition and competed in the State Finals.   Casey has done very well here at Early College High School.  Her overall GPA is a 4.19.  She is a member of the ECHS Drama Club and participates in the RHS Theater  Productions as well.  Great job Casey! Women's History Month We are very excited about all the different events taking place at SCC for Women's History Month!   One of the events is an Art Show that ECHS is putting on Monday, March 18th in the 1400 building (Fishbowl) from 10:00-2:00.  After the show, the art pieces will be displayed in the 100 building display cases.  The theme of the show is "Visionary Women." SCC Cafeteria New management is taking over the cafeteria in April.  In the meantime, there will only be limited items for sale for the rest of March.   Lunches are always delivered daily from the RHS kitchen for students that qualify for free/reduced lunch or any student that wants to purchase it for $3.25.  Please let me know if you have any questions on school lunch or the ordering process. Progress Report Grades  I can't believe it's already March!  Our school year is more than 2/3 finished.  The progress report grades were finalized earlier in the week by the teachers and grades can be accessed online in Aeries.  Students who are struggling are highly encouraged to seek out our academic supports. It is also not too late for students to sign up for college tutoring if they need help with their college classes.  If you have any questions about high school academic support or college tutoring please let me know.
