 Prom


The RHS/ECHS prom will be held on Saturday, May 28th at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. 

-Tickets are on sale now for $130.  The last day to buy a ticket from the ECHS office is Tuesday, May 24th.  We can only accept cash at this time.  *Tickets can be purchased with a credit card at the RHS Treasurer's Office.

-Only 11th and 12th-grade students can attend.  

-RHS and ECHS students can bring guests from other schools as long as the guests are in 11th or 12th grade.

-As of May 1st the venue in San Franciso is no longer requiring everyone who attends to be fully vaccinated or have a negative COVID test.  Masks are also recommended but not required.






Senior Awards Ceremony


Our ECHS Class of 2022 Senior Awards Ceremony is on Wednesday, May 25th at the Fairfield Community Center, Willow Hall located at 1000 Kentucky St.  We are looking forward to recognizing all 63 ECHS seniors as we showcase the many successes that were achieved.  We sincerely hope all seniors and family members can join us!







SCC Graduation/Car-memcement


On Thursday, May 26 from 10:00am-5:00pm Solano College will have a "car-memcement" graduation.  Much of the roadway in front of Buildings 300 and 400 will be blocked off.  We will be sending out more information regarding after-school pickup for this day next week.  We are excited to celebrate the seniors that will be graduating from Solano College next week even before they finish high school!






Senior Project Showcase


Last Friday, May 13th the seniors presented their senior projects to 9th-11th grade students, family members, governing board members, school administrators, and members of the community.  We are so proud of the seniors for what they were able to accomplish this year!









Bowling


Since the last blog post, we had a wonderful bowling event.  We had more than half the ECHS student body come out to Stars in Vacaville for this fun event!  Here are a few pictures the students sent in.












Spirit Week


Next week is Spirt Week at ECHS.  Leadership is doing a fundraiser and selling green and black spirit shirts.  If you would like to buy one see Mrs. Williamson in room 1624.

ECHS Back to School Nights It's almost time for Back to School Night. We do things a little differently than other schools.  The ECHS team hosts 3 nights (based on grade level) and provides a presentation for parents and guardians. At the conclusion of the presentation, we open it up for families to ask individual questions to our staff members.  If you are unable to attend in person, recordings of the presentations will be available for families to view at their convenience.  Our first night is tomorrow 8/24 from 6:00-7:30pm for 9th-grade families.  Our 10th-grade night is on 8/26 and our 11th-12th grade night is on 8/31. *Masks are required for everyone inside all buildings at Solano College.   Math Support I had the pleasure of visiting Mrs. Freitas' Math class last week.  The students were doing a hands-on activity from our Math Carnegie curriculum and we work in small groups.   We have additional after-school support for students who need Math help every Monday and Thursda

Parent Information Nights Monday, September 9th at 6:00pm here on campus in the 1400 cafeteria building is our 9th-10th grade Parent Information Night. Each teacher will give a short presentation followed by a chance for parents to ask individual questions.  We look forward to seeing everyone from 6:00-7:30pm Monday night!  *11th-12th grade Parent Information Night is on Monday, September 16th at 6:00pm. Student Social Today we held an after school social and had an amazing turnout!  The students enjoyed playing games, listening to music, and just hanging out with each other.  We want to thank the Leadership students for planning such a fun event! HBCU College Fair This Sunday there is a HBCU College Fair from 4:00-7:00pm at Mount Calvary Baptist Church.  This event is open to all students and we have had multiple ECHS stud ents attend this fair in the past and get admitted into multiple colleges on the spot!  FSUSD Governing Board

Senior Awards Ceremony On Wednesday, May 25th, we held a special ceremony to honor the ECHS Class of 2022.  The 63 ECHS seniors are all on track to graduate from Rodriguez High School on June 10th.  The event included student speakers, awards, and the presentation  of an ECHS stole to  every ECHS senior to wear in the upcoming graduation ceremony. We are so proud of the ECHS Class of 2022! SCC Graduation/Car-mencement On Thursday, May 26th, Solano College held a "Car-mencement" graduation ceremony.  19 of our ECHS seniors graduated from Solano College along with many of our ECHS alumni.  Congratulations to all of the SCC graduates! Student Board Member Last night  Dean Ramos,  ECHS 11th grader, was sworn in as the new Student Board Member for the 2022-2023 school year.  Dean joins the FSUSD School Board and will be representing more than 22,000 FSUSD students!  Congratulations Dean!
