Congratulations to the following ECHS students for being named RHS Scholar Athletes!  These students all maintained a 3.5 GPA or higher on every grading period during their high school sports season.  They will be honored in a ceremony at Rodriguez High School tomorrow night, May 10th at 6:30pm in the gymnasium.

Thursday, May 12th from 3:00-4:30pm in the cafeteria is our Lip Sync Battle student event.  Students, if you want to perform solo or with a group please sign up on the Google form that Mrs. Willamson sent out.






Senior Project Showcase


Friday, May 13th is our Senior Project Showcase.  We are inviting parents and family members of all grade levels to come and check out what the ECHS Class of 2022 accomplished with their Senior Projects from 1:00-2:30pm in the 1400 cafeteria building.  Please come out if you can to this special event!

*Just a reminder ECHS is a zero-cost program for the fall and spring semesters for students.  Summer classes are optional and students are required to pay the summer costs if they chose to take summer courses.

College and Career Weekly Bulletin

11th grade College Field Trip


Last week the 11th graders went on a field trip to visit both UC Davis and Sacramento State.  The trip was a great way to see both colleges and learn about both the UC and CSU systems.  Our goal is to offer this trip every year to our juniors. Here are some pictures from the field trip:










ECHS Magazine


The Early College Magazine is our program's version of a yearbook.  The magazine is created by the ECHS Leadership students.   You can order the ECHS Magazine now using the link below or you can bring $35 cash to the ECHS office.

Prom


The RHS/ECHS prom will be held on Saturday, May 28th at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. 

-Tickets are on sale now for $130.

-Only 11th and 12th-grade students can attend.  

-RHS and ECHS students can bring guests from other schools as long as the guests are in 11th or 12th grade.

-As of May 1st the venue in San Franciso is no longer requiring everyone who attends to be fully vaccinated or have a negative COVID test.  Masks are also recommended but not required.

ECHS Back to School Nights It's almost time for Back to School Night. We do things a little differently than other schools.  The ECHS team hosts 3 nights (based on grade level) and provides a presentation for parents and guardians. At the conclusion of the presentation, we open it up for families to ask individual questions to our staff members.  If you are unable to attend in person, recordings of the presentations will be available for families to view at their convenience.  Our first night is tomorrow 8/24 from 6:00-7:30pm for 9th-grade families.  Our 10th-grade night is on 8/26 and our 11th-12th grade night is on 8/31. *Masks are required for everyone inside all buildings at Solano College.   Math Support I had the pleasure of visiting Mrs. Freitas' Math class last week.  The students were doing a hands-on activity from our Math Carnegie curriculum and we work in small groups.   We have additional after-school support for students who need Math help every Monday and Thursda

Parent Information Nights Monday, September 9th at 6:00pm here on campus in the 1400 cafeteria building is our 9th-10th grade Parent Information Night. Each teacher will give a short presentation followed by a chance for parents to ask individual questions.  We look forward to seeing everyone from 6:00-7:30pm Monday night!  *11th-12th grade Parent Information Night is on Monday, September 16th at 6:00pm. Student Social Today we held an after school social and had an amazing turnout!  The students enjoyed playing games, listening to music, and just hanging out with each other.  We want to thank the Leadership students for planning such a fun event! HBCU College Fair This Sunday there is a HBCU College Fair from 4:00-7:00pm at Mount Calvary Baptist Church.  This event is open to all students and we have had multiple ECHS stud ents attend this fair in the past and get admitted into multiple colleges on the spot!  FSUSD Governing Board

Senior Awards Ceremony On Wednesday, May 25th, we held a special ceremony to honor the ECHS Class of 2022.  The 63 ECHS seniors are all on track to graduate from Rodriguez High School on June 10th.  The event included student speakers, awards, and the presentation  of an ECHS stole to  every ECHS senior to wear in the upcoming graduation ceremony. We are so proud of the ECHS Class of 2022! SCC Graduation/Car-mencement On Thursday, May 26th, Solano College held a "Car-mencement" graduation ceremony.  19 of our ECHS seniors graduated from Solano College along with many of our ECHS alumni.  Congratulations to all of the SCC graduates! Student Board Member Last night  Dean Ramos,  ECHS 11th grader, was sworn in as the new Student Board Member for the 2022-2023 school year.  Dean joins the FSUSD School Board and will be representing more than 22,000 FSUSD students!  Congratulations Dean!
