Monday, September 9th at 6:00pm here on campus in the 1400 cafeteria building is our 9th-10th grade Parent Information Night. Each teacher will give a short presentation followed by a chance for parents to ask individual questions.  We look forward to seeing everyone from 6:00-7:30pm Monday night!

*11th-12th grade Parent Information Night is on Monday, September 16th at 6:00pm.

Student Social

Today we held an after school social and had an amazing turnout!  The students enjoyed playing games, listening to music, and just hanging out with each other.  We want to thank the Leadership students for planning such a fun event!

HBCU College Fair

This Sunday there is a HBCU College Fair from 4:00-7:00pm at Mount Calvary Baptist Church.  This event is open to all students and we have had multiple ECHS students attend this fair in the past and get admitted into multiple colleges on the spot!

FSUSD Governing Board

On Thursday, September 5th The FSUSD Governing Board honored Dr. Celia Esposito-Noy, Superintendent/President of Solano Community College and Dr. David Williams, Vice President of Academic Affairs at SCC. We are so grateful for their support to the ECHS program!

PSAT

Below is a message from our Career and College Tech, Mrs. Vallejo.  Mrs. Vallejo visited the 11th and 12th grade College Readiness classes on Friday afternoon.  She will also be on campus at ECHS every Friday from 12:00-3:00 to support our students.

10th and 11th grade students are now able to sign up for the PSAT which will be held at Rodriguez High School on Saturday, October 19th from 8:00am-12:30pm.
(Students should arrive at 7:45am to be sure they are in the testing center on time.)

The cost is $25.00 and will be available for purchase beginning Monday, September 9th in the ECHS office.

4 Reasons to Take the PSAT
  • Take the PSAT for Practice. “Practice makes perfect.” ...
  • Strategy. The strategies surrounding test taking are an academic discipline on their own. ...
  • Awards. One of the most important outcomes from taking the PSAT is qualifying for the National Merit Scholarship Program. ...11th grade students are the only class that will be eligible for this award.
  • Training.

All my best,
Mrs. Vallejo

Student of the Week

Xavier Ramirez is one of our Student's of the Week.  Xavier can be described as a friend to all at ECHS.  He really cares about his fellow classmates and is helping make ECHS a truly special place.  Xavier worked with his classmates to bring on the GSA club at ECHS and this week he was elected president to the new club.  Xavier earned excellent grades during his freshman year and I am certain he will continue down his path to success.  Xavier is a true leader in our program!

Nayfa Isbeih is our other Student of the Week.  Nayfa is also a founder of a new club on campus.  Nayfa, along with some of her peers, started the Key Club at ECHS.  This week she was elected president of the club which has 72 members.  Nayfa is a hard working student and has already achieved so much in her first two years at ECHS.  Along with running the Key Club, Nayfa is taking three college classes, participating in academic decathlon and honor society, and volunteering in the community.  Nayfa's hard work and determination is truly inspirational!
