 Power Outage Friday morning sure was interesting at ECHS!  We went from extremely hot weather earlier in the week to a colder Friday morning with some rain, lightning, and thunder.  We were without power on parts of the campus for the zero period, first period, and part of the 3rd period.  We did our best by moving a couple classes into the cafeteria, using natural light, and placing emergency flashlight lanterns in classrooms.  I really appreciate the patience and flexibility demonstrated by our staff and students.   National Suicide Prevention Day Friday was National Suicide Prevention Day.  Daily Reminder cards were passed out to students with positive messages.  Students and staff also wore teal and purple to show support.   We are very excited to announce that we will be bringing Kaiser Permanente's Ghosted program to ECHS for the first time later this semester.  Ghosted is a program that reduces stigma and encourages ope...

  Special Schedule on Tuesday Tuesday, September 7th, we will be on our 1, 3, 5, 2, 4, 6 Friday schedule.  We use this schedule on Tuesdays that follow a Monday holiday.  Students, if you have a live college class (in person or via zoom) that conflicts with a high school class, please let your high school teacher know.  Your teacher will excuse you so you can attend your college classes as scheduled. Lunchtime Students, please wear your mask at all times in the cafeteria.  The only exception is if you are seated and you are eating or drinking.  After you finish eating or drinking put your mask back on.  Please do not walk around with your mask off inside any building on campus.  No eating and drinking while walking around without a mask indoors, please eat at a table.  We want to reduce the risk of spreading COVID.  We encourage you to get a free lunch and then eat outside if possible. Tutoring Support In addition to our after-school Math support (SAS) available every Monday and Thursday from 3:00pm-4:00pm, we are kicking off Peer Tutoring next week.  Peer Tutoring will take place on Fridays during break periods and Wednesdays from 3:00pm-4:00pm.  We will continue visiting College Readiness classes to speak with students about Peer Tutoring.  ECHS Peer Tutoring matches ECHS students who need help in either high school or college classes with other ECHS who have successfully completed the course .  Peer tutors earn volunteer hours and letters of recommendation from Mrs. Mae and/or Mr. Pizzo.  If any students would like to be a tutor or want to sign up for tutoring please see let me know.  Students can stop by the office or email me at johnpi@fsusd.org. *Solano College also has tutoring support for students with their college classwork.  Please see Mrs. Mae if you have questions or need help with this.
