Principal for the Day

On Wednesday, we welcomed Solano County Supervisor, Monica Brown to campus as our "Principal for the Day."  She visited classrooms and talked with students all morning.  Monica Brown is a former Solano College Board Member and a former Green Valley Middle School teacher.  She is a huge supporter of the Early College High program.  At the end of her visit she stopped by the Senior Class club's lunchtime meeting and personally wrote a $500 check to donate to the club.  The seniors will being using the money to purchase their stoles that they get to wear at graduation.

Rotary Scarecrow Competition

The senior class entered their Winnie the Pooh scarecrow in the Rotary Scarecrow competition.  Come out to the Western Railway Museum Pumpkin Patch Festival in Rio Vista to check it out along with all the other entries.  Great job Seniors!

Student of the Week

Our student of the week is 9th grader Roberto Gonzalez.  He was nominated by Ms. Freitas for going out of his way to help out a classmate.  Roberto is a kind-hearted student who cares about others.  He is also working hard and doing well in all of his classes.  Roberto truly represents what ECHS is all about!  Great job Roberto!

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat is coming up on October 30th.  It is such a great event for thousands of young kids to have a fun and safe place and come to for a great time.  If you have elementary school aged children, we definitely encourage you to come out to the event.  ECHS will be there giving out candy.  Thanks to those who have already sent us some candy.  We definitely need some more to hand out.  If you can donate a bag of candy, please send it to the ECHS office.  Thanks

Movie Night

Next Friday, October 25 is ECHS movie night.  We will be showing the movie Coraline in the 308 Lecture Hall.  This is a free event open to all students.  The Leadership students will be selling snacks as well.

ECHS Stickers

Our Parent Leader, Marilyn Barker is collecting donations to purchase an ECHS sticker for every one of our 249 ECHS students.  If you are able to help out please contact Marilyn at barkerbusinessservices@gmail.com.  Marilyn also has a Venmo account and will be at our Parent Group meeting on Monday at 6:00pm in room 305.

Anna Kyle Elementary School

Huge thank you to all the people who donated school supplies for the Anna Kyle classrooms that we adopted.  The Leadership students will be delivering the supplies next week.  We really appreciate all the support.  The students and teachers at Anna Kyle will really benefit from receiving all the school supplies on their wish lists!

Senior Project Pitches

We are still looking for parents and members of the community to come in and join our Senior Project Pitch panels.  It really helps the seniors have outsiders come in and be an audience for them to present their ideas.  The feedback they receive helps guide them in completing a successful Senior Project.   If you can help out and sit in on one or more of these panels please email Susan Harris at susanharr@fsusd.org.
