2022-2023 School Calendar

The ECHS 2022-2023 School Calendar has been finalized.  Next year we start school on August 10th, which is 5 days earlier than the rest of the school district.  The earlier start date for the ECHS program is a result of the Solano College start date and allows our students to settle into the school year prior to starting their college classes.  The students are given the 5 days back with recess days in 2023 on Jan. 9, Jan. 10, Feb. 17, June 8, and June 9th.  Click the link below to access the ECHS 2022-2023 calendar.   Please let me know if you have any questions.

N95 Masks

Students and Guardians,

The State has provided school districts in California with a supply of N95 masks for students and staff. Next week, school sites will provide interested students in grades 6-12 with ten N95 masks. Students in grades 6-12 are not required to take the N95 masks offered to them. N95 masks are not suitable for younger students and therefore will only be distributed to students in upper grade levels.  Students are not required to wear N95 masks and may continue to wear multi layered cloth masks and/or disposable surgical masks to school. For additional information on proper use and wear of N95 (and other) masks please visit CDPH Get the Most Out of Masking

Red Light, Green Light

We had a great turnout for our student lunch activity Thursday.  Students played Red Light, Green Light in the field.  Students, if you missed this lunch event, be sure to check out next week's Assassin Game during lunch beginning on Monday and Family Feud on Friday after school.  Leadership is planning other fun outdoor events during lunch like Freeze Tag, a Dodgeball Tournament, and more!

Students of the Week

Our Student of the Week is Scarlett Hodge.  Scarlett just earned Congressmen, John Garamendi's nomination for the United States Air Force Service Academy.  Getting a Congressional Nomination is a huge accomplishment and we congratulate Scarlett!  She is on her way to her dream of becoming a pilot!

Scarlett has worked hard in high school and has earned an A or B in every high school and college class she has taken.  She is on track to earn an AA degree in both Spanish and Liberal Arts.  Scarlett is a member of the ECHS National Honor Society chapter, the RHS Track & Field Team, and ran earlier in Fall on the MEL Champion Girls Cross Country team.  Great job Scarlett, way to represent ECHS!

12th graders Xabier Eraso and Luis Orozco are also ECHS Students of Week!  Xabier and Luis are both on the Rodriguez High School Boys Varsity Soccer Team.  Tonight is their Senior Night and I am looking forward to seeing them take the field for their final league soccer match at RHS.  The team is 5-3-1 in the league and can earn a playoff berth with a win tonight vs Vanden.

Xabier Eraso earned a 4.26 GPA last semester!  Xabier is on track to have completed 43 units from Solano College at the end of this year.  Next year he will be attending the University of Kentucky to study Biology.

Luis Orozco earned a 4.16 GPA last semester!  Luis is on track to have completed 44.5 units from Solano College at the end of this year.  Next year he plans to do one more year at Solano College and then transfer to Sacramento State.

Xabier and Luis are truly Scholar Athletes!
