April 11

Return to Campus

On Friday, April 16th we will welcome back all of the students who opted in to a return to campus.  Later this week, we will be sending a video out along with some additional information directly to the students and families who opted in, about our safety protocols and what to expect during in-person Friday time.

Nothing changes Monday-Thursday for the remainder of the year.  Everything takes place online and our Distance Learning Schedule remains the same.  Starting Friday, April 16th, our new schedule starts.  Everybody is online for our short check in classes until 9:25am.  Students who are remaining online start asynchronous time and the students who are coming to campus eat an early lunch at home and then head to campus.  We are not serving food on campus during in-person Fridays.  The cafeteria is not open and students are required to wear a mask on campus at all times.  We will be giving students a bag of food to take with them on their way home at 3:00pm.

Progress Report Grades

We are moving into the home stretch for this school year.  This is the last week of this semester's 2nd Progress Report grading period.  The grading period ends Friday, April 16th.  Grades will be finalized and visible in Aeries to students and parents on Tuesday, April 20th.

Class of 2021 Graduation

Rodriguez High School Principal, Clarence Isadore and I are finalizing the plans for graduation.  I will be visiting 12th grade classes this week to talk directly to the seniors about the graduation ceremony, caps and gowns, and other important senior information.  It looks like we are going to be able to have the RHS/ECHS graduation on our originally planned date and time of June 8th at 6:00pm.  We will be able to have a socially distanced in-person ceremony with all of the 2021 graduates together.  Each graduate will be given 2 guest tickets as we will have limited capacity in the stands in the RHS stadium.  We are planning to have the ceremony live streamed so anybody who wants can watch from home.  More information will be coming soon.
