Progress Report Grades
We are moving into the home stretch for this school year. This is the last week of this semester's 2nd Progress Report grading period. The grading period ends Friday, April 16th. Grades will be finalized and visible in Aeries to students and parents on Tuesday, April 20th.
Class of 2021 Graduation
Rodriguez High School Principal, Clarence Isadore and I are finalizing the plans for graduation. I will be visiting 12th grade classes this week to talk directly to the seniors about the graduation ceremony, caps and gowns, and other important senior information. It looks like we are going to be able to have the RHS/ECHS graduation on our originally planned date and time of June 8th at 6:00pm. We will be able to have a socially distanced in-person ceremony with all of the 2021 graduates together. Each graduate will be given 2 guest tickets as we will have limited capacity in the stands in the RHS stadium. We are planning to have the ceremony live streamed so anybody who wants can watch from home. More information will be coming soon.
Highest Honors
Congratulations to the following students for earning the FSUSD Highest Honors distinction. These seniors all have weighted overall GPAs of 4.0 or higher. They will be honored in Highest Honors Individualized Ceremony Celebration on May 19th.
I also want to congratulate the following students for earning the High Honors distinction. These students have an overall weighted GPA of 3.8-3.99. They will be getting a special tassel to wear at graduation.
* Highest Honors and High Honors distinctions are determined by a special calculation. Only 6 total classes per semester are included (high school and college for ECHS students) and no summer classes are factored in.
Welcome Ms. G
We want to welcome Gizzell St. Vincent (Ms. G) to Early College High School. Ms. G started with us on March 29th and has been helping in the office. She is excited to start meeting some of the ECHS students in person on Fridays.
Senior Spotlights
Jala Green joined the ECHS program after 9th grade and has successfully completed 9 college classes. Jala has worked throughout high school and is currently working at both Fire Wings and Texas Roadhouse.
