Spirit Week/Rally

January 21-24 was ECHS Spirit Week.  Each day many of the students dressed in a different theme.  On Friday, January 24 we held an all school rally.  Officer Holocek came to thank the students for their efforts in the Toys for Tots drive that he led.  He told the student body that between multiple schools he was able to collect over 3,000 toys and more than 2,000 were from ECHS.  The kids usually get to pick 1 toy, but this year the kids were able to receive multiple toys.

The students then participated in different friendly competitions between grade levels.  Each grade had a different chant, we had a tug-a-war competition, rock/paper/scissor tournament, and a relay race that had 21 students from each grade level participate in.  Over 100 students participated in at least one of the events on the gym floor while their classmates watched and cheered.  In the end the Juniors got the most spirit points!

ECHS Paint Night

ECHS Paint Night is Friday, February 7th from 3:30-5:00pm.  This event is free and open to all ECHS students.  We have plenty of canvases and paint for everyone.

On Saturday, Feb. 8th there will be a night rally followed by a winter dance at Rodriguez High School.  The event starts at 6:30pm and ends at 10:00pm.  There will even be an Escape Room for the students to check out.  Tickets are on sale now for $10 ($5 with ASB) in the ECHS office.  Students will need a parent permission slip signed before buying a ticket.  Permission slips were emailed to the students and are also available in our office.

2020-2021 School Year

The School Calendar is out for next school year.  We start high school classes on August 12th which is 5 days before the rest of the school district.  We will get those 5 days back with a 3rd week for winter break.  Spring Break 2021 is the same as SCC so the students get a true week off with no classes from April 5-9.  If you have any questions about this year's or next year's school calendars please let me know.

*Special thanks to our Parent Leader Marilyn Barker for putting together this parent friendly version of the calendar for us.
