Message from Ms. Mae

Students in the ECHS program are 4-year university bound and one of the requirements to apply are either SAT or ACT.  Tests must be completed by December of their 12th Grade year. UC/CSU may take either test, but for private colleges it is best to reference their admissions requirements prior to deciding which one to take.
  • Check out resources about ACT such as test prep, dates, and how to register: http://www.act.org/

Ms. Mae held her 11th-12th grade ECHS Counselor Parent Night on Monday.  Here is a link to her slides from the presentation.

Don't miss the 9th-10th grade ECHS Counselor Parent Night on Monday, October 15th at RHS in the library at 6:00pm.

Student Advisory Council

Students who are looking to get involved at the district level are invited to join the Student Advisory Council.  We had two ECHS students attend the first meeting last month and we would love it if a few more attend the next meeting.

Students of the Week

12th grader Noah Rumbaoa is one of the ECHS Students of the Week.  Noah has excelled in every high school and college class that he has taken.  Noah has an overall weighted GPA of 4.38!  For his Senior Project, Noah will be working on learning Tagalog better and putting lessons together to teach the language.  He will also be participating in cultural events and is working with another student to put on a culture day!  Noah's college classes are Chemistry 1, English 2, and Astronomy 20, all on top of his high school load.  Noah is also the new President of the ECHS Honor Society.  Great job Noah!

9th grade student Aize Sorae is also our ECHS Student of the Week.  Aize is working hard in all her high school classes and we are expecting big things from her in the future here at ECHS.  Aize was the first 9th grader to complete her Science test corrections.
She is a member of the Rodriguez High School Cheer Team and is doing great with her SCC American Sign Language class.  Keep up the good work Aize!

Homecoming

Look for pictures in the blog next week from Homecoming.  105 ECHS students bought a ticket and are heading to the dance on Saturday.  Even more are heading to the football game tonight!  We have students playing on the football team, cheering on the cheer team, and dancing in the class skits at halftime.  Should be fun!  Go Mustangs!
