National Honor Society

We are so excited to announce that we have 50 students in grades 10-12 who have been accepted into our first National Honor Society class!  These students were selected based on their scholarship, service, leadership, and character.  The students earned a 3.0 GPA or higher last semester with their high school and college classes.  We are planning a formal induction ceremony for the students and their first club meeting is Thursday, September 6th at 7:00am.  Thank you Karen Smith for getting this club started taking on the role of Advisor.

Student of the Week

Crystal Smith is this week's ECHS student of the week.  In addition to her high school classes last semester, Crystal took Accounting 001, Biology 018, and Math 011.  Crystal earned a 4.33 GPA, was a member of the RHS Track team, and performed an original song at Rodchella.

This school year she is the ECHS Senior Class President, runs Cross Country, and has a part-time job.  Crystal has been connecting with the Rodriguez High School Leadership students to help plan events and increase school spirit.  Last Friday Crystal got to RHS at 5:00am and helped set up the Senior Sunrise event that she and many of the ECHS seniors attended.  Great job Crystal!
