Big Thanks!
I want to thank all the students and staff who helped out last night at our Open House event. Forty-Five 8th grade students came out with their families to Solano to tour the ECHS program. We are getting such positive feedback about the student led tours. Parents of perspective students appreciated being able to ask our current students any remaining questions that they had about ECHS.

Supporting the Community in 2017
Staff and students participated in Ringing the Bells on Saturday, Dec. 2nd outside of Macy's raising money for the Salvation Army.
In December, ECHS students brought in over 150 toys in support of Officer Joe's Toys for Tots drive.
ECHS contributed 1,199 pounds of food during the Holiday Food Drive for the Contra Costa and Solano Food Bank. This equates to 999 meals for those in need in our community.
Upcoming Events

Exciting News
We are planning our first ever ECHS Senior Night. The event will be held on May 31 at the Nelson Community Center in Suisun. We will be discussing this and start planning during our next parent group meeting. If you have not attended a parent group meeting but would like to get involved, please come Tuesday, January 16 from 2:00-3:00 in room 1635.
We are making changes to PE. Both Ms. Cordes and Mr. Gore will be on campus every Friday from 10:00-11:00. 9th grade students will have a chance to turn their work in directly to their teacher, get help, ask questions, and complete workouts to get ready for the 9th grade Fitness Test.

Some of our 12th grade students are starting to hear back from the colleges they have applied to. We are still a few months away from hearing back from the California State Universities, UCs, and many other colleges but here are some of the early returns:
Bailey Quinlan has been accepted to the University of Hawaii and Arizona State.
Jewel Underwood has been accepted to Point Loma Nazarene University
Jaelyn Graves has been accepted to Grambling State, Morgan State, Fort Valley State, Bethune-Cookman, Hampton, and Dillard Univerisity.
Congratulations to you three! We can't wait to hear where our other 12th grade students get accepted!
Enjoy your 3 day weekend!
