Spring Semester

The ECHS students have finished their third week of high school classes and second week of college classes.  We have had a great start to the spring semester!  Students should have all their college textbooks or have ordered them with me.  If there are any students that still need textbooks please come and see me asap.

I have mentioned this in the blog multiple times before, but we continue to underutilized the tutoring center on campus.  The tutoring is free and all they have to do to attend is to submit a special admissions form.  As of today, less than 20 students have signed up.  This is such a great resource for help with college classes!

Students who need help with their high school classes will continue to be supported in our after school SAS tutoring every Monday and Thursday from 3:00-4:00 with the ECHS teachers.  We are also continuing our Peer Tutoring during the school day Monday and Wednesdays from 1:00-3:00 and Fridays from 10:00-12:00.

Our goal is to support every student to meet A-G standards and become, "University Ready!"

It is time to order caps and gowns for the Rodriguez/ECHS graduation.  If you have not ordered yours yet, please visit www.academicnorcal.com

Student of the Week

11th grader, Talyssa Tucker is the ECHS student of the week.  Talyssa is a star midfielder on the RHS Girls Soccer team.  In addition to playing soccer, Talyssa excels in high school and college classes.  Last semester Talyssa took on 11 college units with Chem 001, Math 002, and Spanish 33.  Talyssa has earned an A or B in every high school and college class that she has ever taken.  Great job Talyssa!

Prom 2019

Tickets are on sale now for the 11th and 12th grade prom.  The price is $90 with ASB and $100 without.  The price will increase $10 on Feb. 11th and another $10 on March 4th.

Community Service

ECHS brought in 680 pounds of food to the Contra Costa and Solano Food Bank during the 2018 Holiday Drive.

We also collected $552.54 to support the Salvation Army with the Ringing the Bells event.  Major Randy Hart will be coming out to ECHS on Feb. 1 to honor the students and teachers that participated.  He is bringing the trophy back out  that we have won for raising the most money in the school district for the third consecutive year!

(Here is an old picture from the first year of the competition.  I will add a picture next week when the trophy returns to ECHS).

Panoramic Picture

Wednesday, Jan. 30th is the last chance to buy the panoramic picture.  I have order form envelops in my office still if anybody needs one.

Parent Meeting

Our next parent meeting is Monday, Jan. 28th in portable 1104 from 6:00-7:00pm.  This meeting is open to all ECHS parents who would like to hear more about what is happening at ECHS, give feedback, and help plan upcoming ECHS events.
