Senior Project Showcase
The seniors did so well on the Senior Projects and the Showcase event on May 4th was a hit!
FSUSD Superintendent Kris Corey, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Sheila McCabe, and Governing Board Vice President Judi Honeychurch attended the event.
Attending from Solano Community College we had President Dr. Celia Esposito-Noy, Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. David Williams, and Vice President of Student Services Gregory Brown. Also SCC Governing Board members Marie Young, Rosemary Thurston, and of course Quinten Voyce.
Solano County Supervisor Monica Brown also came to the showcase to support the students.
Many parents, senior project mentors, SCC staff, ECHS staff, and the 9th-11th grade students came to the showcase and got to see what a wonderful job the seniors did.
I want to thank ECHS teacher Quinten Voyce for his hard work running the Senior Project class and guiding the students along throughout the year.
The seniors shared their projects, talked about their experiences, and met community members. They have truly set the bar high for the students who will come after them!
Assist-A-Grad Scholarships
Congratulations to Macen Polson , Adelina Liew, Jewel Underwood, and Bailey Quinlan! All four students were awarded Assist-A-Grad scholarships on May 7th.
Generous Donation
On April 26, Solano County Supervisor Monica Brown came out to ECHS and presented the Senior Class with a $500 donation. We want to thank Supervisor Brown for her continued support of the ECHS program. She was previously on the SCC Governing Board and before that she taught some of our students back in middle school at Green Valley. The students plan to use the funds to support their senior sunset event as well as the ECHS senior awards.
Freshman Social
After school on yesterday, we welcomed our new freshman class to campus. The 8th grade students got to interact and do fun activities with our ECHS student leaders. I want to thank all the students and staff who stayed late and helped with this event. The new students are excited to join the ECHS program!
