There is still support on campus for the ECHS students. I am working March 26 and School Counselor Mae Valles is working March 27-30. This week is a great time to schedule a meeting with Ms. Mae or myself. To schedule a meeting with Ms. Mae please email her at MaeV@fsusd.org

Bomb Threat
I again want to thank everybody for their patience and understanding on Monday. We really do appreciative of our strong partnership with Solano Community College and the Solano County Sheriff’s Department and the steps being taken to help keep our students safe. We are so glad the Sheriff's Detectives were able to arrest the person for reporting the false bomb threat.
Student Walk-Out
Some ECHS students did choose to walk out of class on Wednesday at 10:00am. The students linked arms, read the names of the 17 Parkland shooting victims, and had a moment of silence. The students were very respectful, stayed on campus, and returned to class after 17 minutes.

We have been in encouraging students to participate in the #whatsyour17 movement. Committing random acts of kindness shouldn't be limited to March 14. I am proud daily when I see ECHS students being respectful to each other, helping out others, and looking for ways to better their community.
ECHS Parent Group
The next parent group meeting is Tuesday, March 20th from 2:00-3:00 in room 1635. This group is open to all parents. Please come if you would like to hear more about things taking place at ECHS, be part of the planning of future events, and ask questions and give feedback.
More exciting senior class news!
In the last two weeks we have had more college acceptances to
share. We had a student get into West
Point Military Academy. 4 students got
into Sac State, 3 into San Francisco State, and 3 into UC Davis. Other colleges students are getting into are
UC Riverside, UC Merced, Sonoma State, Long Beach State, and many more. We are still waiting to hear back from a few more universities and then we will put out a final list of where the seniors will be off to.
Pennies for Patients
The Pennies for Patients drive to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will conclude on March 20th. The classes are not only collecting pennies, other coins & dollars (even checks made out to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society) are acceptable as well. Thank you for your generosity.
Speech and Debate
ECHS Speech and Debate has an Intramural Practice Competition and Workshop tomorrow here on campus from 9:00-1:00. ECHS Students will be participating along with the Solano College Speech and Debate team as well as students from Benicia High School.
Scavenger Hunt
The scavenger hunt that was planned for today was cancelled due to the weather. It has been rescheduled for Friday, April 13th from 3:00-4:30. This should be a fun event for all ECHS to be able to participate in.
Drama Club
Next week the Drama Club is putting on a 40-minute version of the Lion King. There will be two shows on Friday, March 23 at 2:20 and 3:20. The students have been practicing all year during lunch to put this on. From the singing I have heard through the walls, this is going to be great!
ECHS Magazine
The Magazine club is hard at work creating this year's ECHS magazine. The magazine will have a lot of color pictures and exciting features representing the past school year at ECHS. The magazine is $20. Magazines can be purchase from me or Ms. Williamson.
