Fun and Exciting Week!

On Monday we honored all the students at ECHS who made the honor roll with 3.5 GPAs or higher, along with the students that have perfect attendance.  Students received their academic and attendance awards at lunch along with a frozen yogurt treat.  I want to thank the three booster clubs (Athletic Boosters, PTSO, and Music Boosters) that donated towards the frozen yogurts purchased for RHS and ECHS students.  Students who made honor roll for their 3rd semester earned their Academic Letters.  Congratulations students!  Keep up the hard work!

On Tuesday, Major Randy Hartt, from the Salvation Army came by to drop off our Bell Ringers Trophy.  ECHS will definitely be participating next year and we plan to collect the most money again to support our community and keep this trophy at Solano College.

I am pleased to announce the decision to bring two additional RHS teachers over to ECHS next school year. Jamilah Whiteside and Lisa Turgeon-Staggs will be joining the ECHS team.  Ms. Whiteside will be teaching World Civilizations, English 9, and College Readiness.  Ms. Turgeon-Staggs will be teaching Math 3 and College Readiness.  Both teachers bring a great deal of experience and expertise to ECHS and we are thrilled they have chosen to join us.

We are also planning to hold a parent information night on April 26th from 6:00-7:00 in the RHS library.  We will have student transcripts available to pick up that night and Ms. Valles will lead parents in a transcript review.  The topics to be discussed include: High School Graduation and A-G requirements, ECHS 4-year student plans, IGETC, University Studies AA degree option, Senior Project, and Campus Safety.  There will be more information sent out about the parent night as we get closer to the date.

Next week there are no ECHS high school or college classes.  I hope all the ECHS students and teachers enjoy the break.  School Counselor, Mae Valles and I will be working at RHS next week. We will be working on building student schedules Monday and Tuesday.  If you have any questions please feel free to email me or give me a call at RHS next week.
